How much does a psychologist cost in the UK?

Fees vary between practices and areas. At The Online Psychologists, our sessions are £130 for 50 minutes, which includes being matched with a doctoral-level, HCPC-registered clinical psychologist.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person?

Our fee is £130 per session. Because sessions are online, you also save the time and cost of travelling to appointments.

How many sessions will I need?

This depends on your difficulties and goals. A typical course of therapy for a specific issue might be 8 to 16 sessions. More complex or longstanding difficulties may benefit from longer-term work. Your psychologist will discuss a recommended plan after your assessment.

Cancellation policy

We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice may be charged at the full session rate.

Payment

Payment is made by bank transfer or card prior to each session.
